Longtime Malibu Resident Jack Etlin died in his sleep Aug. 11 in a nursing home in San Francisco. He was 88.
Etlin moved to California from the East Coast and started Etlin Realty Co. with his wife Amo in the 1940s. A lover of the beach, he raised his sons Craig and Stuart in Malibu in the 1960s and ’70s. He is survived by his wife, Amo; daughter, Gretchen; sons, Craig and Stuart, and Grandchildren Ida, Mimi, Cody, Asher and Emily. The family shared memories and celebrated his life quietly in a private ceremony in Malibu.
