Students from the Malibu High School Kitchen Community Club, headed by 10th grader Sky Petretti, visited their “sister school” Alliance Academy 5 in East LA on Thursday to assist in building a learning garden. Students from both schools worked together to install a garden complete with irrigation, flowers and vegetables for the school to cultivate and enjoy. Malibu High is hoping to build a learning garden of its own in the near future. Both gardens have been donated by the Malibu-based Whole Foods and the Park project owners.
