I want to remind all Malibu residents who will be 65 by June 30, 2013 and are living in their primary residence to register for the senior tax exemption. In 2008 our school district and the voters passed a measure to exempt all seniors from paying the yearly tax for schools.
Residents must call the district at 310.450.8338 ext. 70253 and request the exemption form, which must be filled out and mailed in by June 30. The form is very simply asking for a copy of your drivers license and your parcel number, or numbers if you own contiguous parcels.
If you are already registered and did not receive your renewal form, call them. They have alreadybeen mailed out.
