Local Realtor Rick Wallace recently celebrated his 60th birthday with a 53.5-mile run from Ojai to Malibu. The trip took 16 hours. Wallace left Ojai at 5:30 a.m. and ran the equivalent of two marathons, returning him to his Malibu Park home in the evening. His route included the Ojai valley, down the Ventura shoreline through the Ventura Harbor, down to the Oxnard Harbor and more. Wallace reported that he walked about one-third of the journey, and stopped twice for one-hour breaks.
