Malibu City Council and Planning Commission will hold at joint special meeting to hear and discuss the findings of the Civic Center Design Standards Task Force on Wednesday, Feb. 10. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Malibu City Hall in the Council Chambers.
“I encourage all Malibu residents, business owners, and other stakeholders to attend the meeting, and participate in charting the future course of the Civic Center,” Mayor Laura Rosenthal said in a statement sent out by the city.
In 2014, City Council directed the Planning Commission to develop a set of guidelines for the Civic Center area, which would serve as the first phase of a goal of developing a Civic Center Specific Plan. The council established a 10-member Civic Center Design Standards Task Force, made up of members of the public, to provide feedback to staff and the consultants.
