
You don’t need a golden ticket to visit Willy Wonka’s fabulous chocolate factory, just an e-ticket from Malibu High School!
Malibu High’s Middle School Theatre Department will present the musical “Willy Wonka” on Jan. 31 through Feb. 3.
The production will feature all the favorite characters from the much-loved Roald Dahl book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” including Charlie Bucket, television and video game obsessed Mike Teavee, bratty Veruca Salt, gluttonous Augustus Gloop, gum-smacking Violet Beauregarde, the comical Oompa-Loompas and Willy Wonka himself. The music includes the songs “Pure Imagination,” “The Candy Man” and “I Want it Now.”
The show opens on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m., with performances continuing on Feb. 1 at 7 p.m., Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place at the school, located at 30215 Morning View Drive. Reserved seats are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. E-tickets can be purchased online at http://malibuhigh.smmusd.org. Tickets for any remaining seats will be sold at the door before each performance.
