Amy Alcini of Malibu has been selected by the United States Tennis Association to captain the 2011 United States Women’s Young Cup Tennis team. The team will participate in the International Tennis Federation Seniors World Team Championships in Timaru, New Zealand Feb. 21-26 along with more than 700 of the top tennis players from around the world.
Alcini has won 12 U.S. National Tennis Titles since 2000 and has been the National Indoor Singles Champion for the past two years.
“Representing your country is the ultimate honor in any sport and being selected captain is a significant responsibility,” Alcini said.
