Malibu’s longtime ballroom dancing instructor M.C. Callaghan is hosting monthly swing, salsa, disco and ballroom dances above Ruby’s at the Malibu Pier. The next session will take place on Saturday, and will also serve as a fundraiser for the animal sanctuary Save A Pet. Attendees are encouraged to bring small monetary donations or cat or dog food.
The festivities will begin at 7:30 p.m. A salsa lesson will take place at 9:15 p.m. The charge is $15. The next dates are Oct. 9 and Nov. 6. Callaghan also teaches ballroom group lessons for the City of Malibu at Bluffs Park every Monday at 7 p.m. For more information, call 818.694.7283.
