Art Space Malibu hosted Malibu Artists Unite on Saturday night. Twenty local artists joined together to display a mix of contemporary art. More than 300 Malibu locals and visitors joined the festivities. Artist and studio owner Michelle Geft said, “I really want to create an art center here. My goal is a co-op studio/gallery for Malibu and our contemporary artists. I want to create a space that artists can show their work and if someone needs space they can come, escape and create without paying the high overhead.”
She is hoping to have a fundraiser to help support her dream and plans to hold several events every year.
