You have got to be kidding. In last week’s letters, William J. McCarthy asserts, “The staff of the Coastal Commission has vindicated Frank Angel’s Sierra Club lawsuit against the proposed ‘Forge Lodge’ development.” That’s like saying the Soviet Politburo has vindicated Stalin’s purges. Please, Mr. McCarthy, give the residents of Malibu a little more credit. The conspiratorial anti-Malibu axis that connects the Sierra Club and the Coastal Commission staff isn’t exactly a secret. If you want to go fishing for validation, seek out a legitimately objective source.
