I support John Mazza and Steve Scheinkman for Malibu City Council for the following reasons: The City Council desperately needs individuals with a business background. The current City Council has made some awful financial decisions, such as giving the developers of the lumber yard a $1.5 million interest free loan for 15 years while the city’s debt is over $45 million. John and Steve will use their business experience to make smarter financial decisions.
John and Steve are the only candidates who have demonstrated that they have the skills required to successfully work with the outside governmental agencies (i.e., the Coastal Commission, Regional Water Quality) to solve conflicts without reverting to costly lawsuits.
