Photos: Thorne Family Farm Welcomes Spring

Thorne Family Farm, located at 6043 Bonsall Dr., has an abundance of springtime greens, vegetables and fruits available for local restaurants, grocery stores and residents.

“The farm is now made possible by generous neighbors who have opened their fields to be farmed,” Larry Thorne said. “You can find our berries at Vintage Grocers in Trancas Country Market, Farm Shop and Tender Greens in Santa Monica. We grow strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. In the summer [it’s] heirloom tomatoes, sweetcorn and melons.” The Thorne family first came to Malibu in 1938 and dry farmed.
