Malibuite issued 65th U.S. patent

Malibu resident David M. Pepper was recently issued his 65th U.S. patent for his “method and apparatus for reduction of non-adaptive signals in photo-EMF sensors” by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This achievement ranks him in the 99.7th percentile of all inventors.

Pepper’s patents are primarily focused in various fields of laser technology, including laser communication and imaging through the atmosphere and laser-induced ultrasonic inspection of materials.

During his 31-year career he has worked as a laser physicist and research scientist at HRL Laboratories and currently works as a technical consultant. Additionally, Pepper has worked as an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University.

He lives in Malibu with his wife, Denise, and their three rescue dogs.
