Anne Soble and her cronies from The Malibu Township Council are at it again. I can imagine the MTC members after they lost the vote to the city 4-1 regarding Trancas Park telling one another to “Call Anne!”…as if a call to arms! Although, maybe that was not even needed as The MTC has a direct pipeline to the Surfside as one of their Board of Directors also serves as a production person for that paper. Not only did Anne use her editorial to write an incredibly negative and slanderous piece on the Trancas Park and the people that support it; she allowed MTC to fill her pages with letters of their own. Many of us who have been to council meetings and support the park had decided to boycott the last meeting and make a statement that “enough is enough,” which Justine Petretti so graciously conveyed for us. As one of the letters stated from an MTC member, “Elections will come, Wake Up,” she is absolutely right, especially when the president of the MTC, Steve Uhring, runs for City Council. We cannot afford any more negativity or waste of taxpayers’ dollars because of lawsuits they like to throw at worthy projects like parks.
