Malibu Farmers Insurance agent Mark Ball recently donated $500 to the Malibu Foundation for Youth and Families. Farmers will match Ball’s donation bringing the total contribution to $1,000 dollars.
“This donation will support two scholarships allowing deserving students to attend a one-week summer camp in the Malibu Mountains,” Mark Ball wrote in an e-mail. “Despite the glitzy image of Malibu, there are local students living below the poverty level and some are homeless.”
The scholarships will help the children attend the Salvation Army Camp in Malibu.
