I am the lady on the mountain who received such a wonderful letter from one of your readers. (Sept. 25 ). I so want to thank Ms. Marie for her words and let her know what pride I took in them. I especially delighted in sharing her letter with my daughter who was thrilled to hear that the Emerson College Mom sweatshirt she’d gifted me with didn’t go unnoticed.
I can’t say enough about the Malibuites who waved to me during my walk up and down that mountain. They give me such encouragement and are so friendly. They offer help during the rainy season when I’ve gotten caught in an unexpected downpour and, in the summer, often stopping to see if I have enough water.
I would so appreciate it if you would express my feelings to those warm souls who keep me going. Especially Ms. Marie. On days when I think I just don’t feel like moving from my abode and up that exerting mountain,. I’ll think of her letter and it will give me the impetus to keep on keeping on.
