Perhaps it is time to declare defeat regarding the laudable effort to stop the Z traffic from speeding past Webster Elementary School and Our Lady of Malibu, by blocking off Civic Center Way. The traffic jams which have been created are inconveniencing not only the people trying to get through Malibu to somewhere else, but Malibu’s own residents. A better solution would be to lower further the speed limit on Civic Center Way in the school zone, and to station “The Law” right there to ticket offenders who are in too much of a hurry to get somewhere else. They’ll get the message.
