$20 million could be spent to save Broad Beach

Sand bags line Broad Beach in an effort to keep the ocean at bay during recent storms. Homeowners along the beach have received permission from the city and the California Coastal Commission to build a $3.4 million rock wall to prevent flooding of homes on the severely eroded beach. It is part of a $15 million to $20 million plan to permanently restore sand to the beach.
