The Malibu Township Council will hold its traditional City Council candidate forum at Webster Elementary School on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. This forum is open to all the citizens of Malibu and will provide an opportunity for citizens to ask questions of the five candidates. The event will be recorded for later viewing on the local access channel. The Malibu Township Council was founded in 1946 and was largely responsible for the formation of the City of Malibu. Our purpose is to keep the citizens of Malibu informed on matters that effect their life in Malibu. The upcoming election on April 8 will determine a majority of the city council and thus important issues such as development, water quality, a new school district, city debt, parks, traffic, camping in the mountains, rent control, mansionization and many other issues. Please participate in your city government and attend this forum. More information can be obtained at our web site www.malibutownshipcouncil.org
