Downed power lines temporarily disrupt PCH traffic near Trancas Canyon this morning

Downed power lines temporarily disrupted traffic on Pacific Coast Highway west of Trancas Canyon Monday morning, blocking eastbound lanes and causing delays through the area.

During the incident, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies diverted traffic and used the westbound lanes to alternate vehicles through the affected stretch of PCH while awaiting a response from Southern California Edison.

The disruption was cleared later in the morning, and by approximately 8:15 a.m., officials reported that all lanes of PCH at Trancas Canyon had reopened.

Motorists traveling through the area later Monday were no longer impacted by the earlier closure.
