Top Ten Books
Hot off the presses, beautiful, and in anticipation of our publication party on Sunday at 3 p.m., “Malibu: A Century of Living by the Sea” popped instantly onto the top ten list this week.
Diesel, A Bookstore’s No. 1 nonfiction title, showing that summer is here and surf’s up: “Surf Diva,” the wonderful guide to surfing for girls of all ages. In fiction, the latest No. 1 detective agency novel, the new Sue Monk Kidd (author of “The Secret Life of Bees”), and the new Isabel Allende novel, “Zorro,” bring fresh new novels to the top ten. For children, two by Megan McDonald: The fourth in the ever-popular Judy Moody series is out in paperback and her younger brother, James, gets his own solo adventure in “Stink.” Topping the children’s list, the handbook follow-up to last year’s runaway bestseller: “Dragonology.”
