The Malibu Optimist Club hosted its annual Oratorical Contest at Pepperdine University last week. The topic for this year’s event was “How My Passions Impact the World.” Judges were Harold Green, Joan Page, Nidra Winger and Richard Page.
The speakers at the event were students from Malibu Middle and High Schools. Tyler Barlow and Maya Silardi won gold medals. Rowan Lane and Jamie Le won silver medals, and Maverick Baglieto and Sarah Brand took home bronze
