An exhibition of the work of local artist Gay Summer Rick will be on display at the bG Gallery Bergamot in Santa Monica.
The collection, “Beasts and Trees, Cities and Seas,” also features Rick’s new series, “City and Coast.” Rick uses layers of color and texture to capture life on the “urban coast” in beach cities, including Malibu, Venice and Santa Monica. The two-person exhibition will also include work by New York-based artist Suzanne Unrein.
The opening reception takes place Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at 2525 Michigan Ave. The work will be on display through Oct. 21. For more information, call 310.906.4211.
