Saint Aidan’s Church will host its fundraising Wine, Music and Chocolate Festival on Sept. 27 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the church grounds, located on Pacific Coast Highway across from Paradise Cove. Along with live music and a sampling of local and California wines for tasting, samples of Chocolatiers chocolate will be offered.

The fundraising event will also feature a delicious selection of hors d’oeuvres prepared by the church’s Vestry Committee (that will be served by Saint Aidan’s High School Youth Group); a variety of music performed by pianists, guitarists and vocalists; and a silent auction of gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates, unique art objects, collectibles, and tickets to sporting events and concerts, among other items. Childcare will be available with reservation, and activities and entertainment will be provided for all children under the age of 12.

“Wine is a poignant Biblical symbol, and for our annual fundraiser for the cluster of charities we have been supporting over the years both through donations and service,” Reverend Joyce Stickney, rector of St. Aidan’s Church, wrote in an email. “It takes many grapes to make a glass of wine and each grape is different.

“Last year’s event raised over $11,000 for School on Wheels, Dorcas House, Malibu Labor Exchange, African Team Ministries, and the Sierra Service Projects,” Stickney wrote. “This year we hope will be equally successful.”

The tax-free ticket/donation of $20-$25 per person may be purchased at Saint Aidan’s Church, located at 28211 Pacific Coast Highway. Free parking on grounds. More information may be obtained by calling 310.457.7966.
