On Sunday, May 18, at the Point Dume Clubhouse, the Malibu Democratic Club elected Ann Salisbury Doneen as president. She will replace Jean T. Goodman, who has served as president for seven years.
Doneen was born in Malibu and has been active in Malibu environmental projects, including efforts to save wildlife at the Malibu lagoon. Her work experience includes a news segment producer, director of public affairs at California State University, Northridge and a columnist for TV Guide Magazine.
Doneen hopes the club attracts new members throughout the upcoming years while boosting involvement among its current membership through projects and events.
