Local equestrian Jamie Barge placed 16th among 40 riders at the prestigious Longines FEI World Cup. The top event for horse jumping was held in Paris, France, last weekend. Barge, who is severely hearing impaired, was only one of 11 riders on the U.S. team. 

This was the second year in a row the 31-year-old Barge made it to the world championship along with her horse Luebbo.
