Robert V. Justice 1935-2026

Robert Volney Justice passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2026, just one month shy of his 91st birthday. Born on June 23, 1935, in Los Angeles, California, Robert lived a full and remarkable life, spending many happy years in the South Bay and Malibu before making his final home in Fallbrook, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Roosevelt Justice and Opal Mae Justice, and his beloved sister, Delanna Schneider.

Robert was fortunate to share his life with three wonderful women: Barbara A. Brach, Diane L. Adams, and his loving wife, Patricia Losey Justice.

He leaves behind a large and devoted family, including his eight children: Victoria Amos (Rick), Tamara Bradley (Matt), Robert W. Justice, Penelope Rozsa (Danny), Prudence Pedrotti (Wes), Pollyanna Johnstone (John), Julie Simpson (Kyle), and Joey Justice (Dana). In addition to his children, he was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 49½ great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, creating a posterity of 83½ descendants.

Robert graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 1960 and enjoyed a successful career as a dentist for most of his life, practicing until the final decade of his years. He was also a true jack-of-all-trades, possessing a remarkable ability to build, create, repair, and invent—talents that have been passed down to his children and grandchildren.

A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Robert served faithfully in many callings throughout his lifetime. His faith was central to who he was. He loved God, loved his country, and above all, loved his family.

The memories he created with his children are countless: hunting and fishing trips, camping adventures, funny car races, snow and water skiing, grunion hunting, beach outings, and family barbecues. For many years, his annual Fourth of July barbecue became a cherished tradition, bringing together family and friends in celebration and fellowship.

Robert was a man of endless projects, boundless curiosity, and creative ingenuity. He was also known for his playful sense of humor. A lifelong tease, he could rarely finish telling a joke without laughing before reaching the punchline.

His life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His kindness, faith, laughter, and love created a legacy that will endure for generations.

Forever in our hearts, forever missed, our Dad.
