9:00 a.m. Update: Pacific Coast Highway is now expected to remain closed for the rest of the day at Paradise Cove Road following an early morning crash that brought down a power pole and utility lines.

All lanes of Pacific Coast Highway are closed at Paradise Cove Road following an early morning traffic collision involving a vehicle and a power pole.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the crash occurred early Monday morning and brought down power lines across the roadway, forcing the complete closure of Pacific Coast Highway in both directions.
