Southern California Edison crews are still scheduled to begin cutting trees in Zuma Canyon this morning.
About 300 trees will be trimmed … some of them cut down … along Bonsall Drive.
Trees growing on the public street … and trees growing on private property … have already been identified.
Edison crews have supposedly talked to residents there.
Last year … tree fell on Edison power lines and blacked out he lower canyon.

This news of note from Northern California.
A federal judge yesterday ordered board members of Pacific Gas & Electric to take a tour of Paradise … the Northern California town that the electric company apparently destroyed through negligence.
The judge ordered the tour as part of the utility’s punishment for violating its felony probation terms.
PG&E was convicted and placed on felony probation after one of its natural gas pipes exploded in 2010, killing eight people in the San Francisco suburb of San Bruno.
Accordign to the San Francisco Chronicle … U.S. District Judge William Alsup says he wants the utility’s newly appointed board to focus the company on complying with new wildfire safety plans approved by regulators.
Alsup said PG&E’s top executives need to “see the gravity of what happened up there” and indicated he will likely join the tour too.
“The board of directors ought to see firsthand the devastation” it caused … the judge said.
November fire that essentially wiped out Paradise was the deadliest and most destructive in state history.
It hit the same day that Malibu Park was largely destroyed.
