California Strong—a nonprofit organization that raises money and awareness to support Californians affected by disasters and tragedies—held its second annual celebrity softball game on Jan. 12. The event took place on Pepperdine University’s baseball field.
Attendees included former Major League Baseball player Alex Rodriguez, actor Rob Lowe, rapper Machine Gun Kelly, comedian Tiffany Haddish and actor Patrick Dempsey, among many other actors, models and athletes including LA Dodgers players Cody Bellinger and Joc Pederson.
The softball game raised over $500,000, and over 2,500 people were in attendance, according to press information provided by the event organizers.
Professional baseball players Christian Yelich, Ryan Braun, Mike Moustakas, along with Mike Attanasio of the Milwaukee Brewers Ownership Group and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff, hosted the event.
