Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriffs, Los Angeles County Fire and California Highway Patrol were on scene of an accident Thursday night, Aug. 27, after a car went over the side of Malibu Canyon north of the tunnel.
At the moment, there is no word as to injuries in the accident, which occurred around 7:30 p.m., when a blue BMW issued an emergency call through Sirius satellite radio, according to Lt. John Lecrivain with the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.
“We received a call from Sirius radio services saying that they had a client that activated the emergency feature in their vehicle,” Lecrivain reported.
The exact location of the vehicle is south of Piuma Road.
“My understanding is it’s about three miles north of PCH off of Malibu Canyon,” Lecrivain said. “It’s down there between Piuma and Malibu Canyon.”
