• “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” – 1962 – Climactic scene with Bette Davis dancing on the beach
• “Beach Blanket Bingo” – 1965 – location filming
• “Planet of the Apes” – 1968 – For an entire summer during the filming, a scale replica of the Statue of Liberty from the famous closing scene lay buried at the southern end of Pirate’s Cove
