Malibu’s model mom Cindy Crawford is always a step ahead on the fashion front.

Malibu local Cindy Crawford put her best foot forward hosting a bash and exclusive shopping event at the Jimmy Choo store in Beverly Hills. The international supermodel, businesswoman and DKMS ambassador welcomed supporters along with DKMS CEO Carina Ortel in an effort to fight blood cancer.

“Tonight marks our third event this year with Jimmy Choo. Their support and generosity is crucial to our work and will help register so many potential lifesavers,” Carina told the soulful, loving crowd.

For many years, the international effort has been a cause that Cindy takes seriously. “I’m honored to be here tonight with DKMS and Jimmy Choo to support a cause that is close to my heart,” Crawford said. “My brother was diagnosed with leukemia when he was just two years old and passed away shortly after. This disease affects so many, and a bone marrow transplant could make all the difference in saving a life.”

Casamigos cocktails were flowing throughout the evening along with some tasty treats. The event offered guests and supporters the opportunity to discover the Jimmy Choo Cruise 2017 Collection.

Seen among the crowd were Skyler Samuels, Becca Tobin, Charlotte McKinney, Lydia Hearst, Cara Santana, Jillian Murray, Brittany Furlan, Melissa Carcache, Carolyn Hennesy, Syd Wilder and Xenia.

The idea was to fawn over great looking gear as well as learn a little about the organization.

DKMS is an international nonprofit dedicated to eradicating blood cancers like leukemia and other blood-related illnesses, inspiring both men and women around the world to register as bone marrow and blood stem cell donors. The organization has registered nearly seven million potential donors and helped to facilitate more than 59,000 transplants around the world. But it is not stopping there. DKMS is providing patients with a second chance at life, working closely with families from diagnosis to transplant and beyond. The donor journey begins with a swab of the cheek that takes less than 60 seconds and can be the action that leads to a lifesaving transplant. DKMS, originally founded in Germany in 1991 by Dr. Peter Harf, has organizations in Poland, Spain, India, the United Kingdom and the United States. While shoppers gave the heels and flats a little test drive and picked out gifts for themselves or others, they knew that finding a cure would be the best holiday present of all.

TONY’S TRIUMPH

With his smooth voice and cool demeanor, it’s hard to believe that Tony Bennett is toasting his 90th. Considered one of the greats, he’s belted out the classics with everyone from Elton John to Lady Gaga.

To mark the occasion, NBC threw TB a major birthday bash. The network celebrated with a special tribute featuring all his pals including Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, k.d. lang, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble, Billy Joel and Diana Krall.

Also seen in the starry crowd were Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey, John Travolta and Bruce Willis.

“I feel like I am just getting started and look forward to each day,” Tony said. “I have loved sharing the music I love with the world.”

And he is bound to keep going. When it comes to TB, who knows? Maybe the best IS yet to come.
