According to U.S. News & World Report’s 2017 Best Colleges rankings, Pepperdine University is one of the nation’s “Best National Universities.” With increased rankings across the board, the university earned a spot in the Top 50 — climbing two spots, from 52 to 50, since its 2016 ranking. According to the report, the category consists of 310 institutions — 189 public, 114 private, and seven for-profit — and data on up to 15 academic quality indicators from each institution are assessed.
Many of Pepperdine’s programs also found favorable rankings in the publications report. Seaver College, the university’s undergraduate school, advanced two spots since its 2016 rating of 50, in the publication’s “Best Undergraduate Business Programs” category. The international program was also recognized as one of the nation’s “Best Programs to Look For.”
Pepperdine landed in the Top 30 of the nation’s “Best Value Schools” — a category tabulated by its academic quality and student’s net cost of attendance — and had a significant boost from 35 to 28 in “The High School Counselor’s Top College Picks” category.
Most notably, Pepperdine jumped 13 spots, from 42 to 29, as one of America’s “Best Colleges for Veterans.” The university is an active participant in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program, and offers unlimited tuition support to Yellow Ribbon-eligible students.
