English bank asks for money in Ferrari case
Capital Bank of Chester, England filed a suit late last week in Los Angeles Superior Court, saying 44-year-old Bo Stefan Eriksson owes the bank $1.3 million. The Swedish national made international headlines last February when he crashed a rare Enzo Ferrari on Pacific Coast Highway at a speed in excess of 160 mph.
The civil suit alleges Eriksson stopped paying a loan for the Ferrari and for a Mercedes-Benz.
Eriksson was sentenced in November to three years in prison after pleading no contest to embezzlement and felony possession of a firearm. He is also serving a concurrent six-month jail term for misdemeanor drunk driving.
