The enlightened shepherds looked at one another, still puzzled, but the angel continued. “This will be a sign to you; you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.” The shepherds traveled to a tiny stable lit with dim candlelight. The scene was crowded with different people that came from different places, species, races, classes and ages and were brought together to give thanks to God’s son. The good news was finally brought about when Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem on a starry night.
God’s son brought the good news to the people by clothing the naked and feeding the hungry. He inspired others to not be afraid to speak up for what they believed in. He also preached to the public and anyone who would listen. He showed respect for everyone’s beliefs. He affected the way of thinking, and by doing this he changed the world.
This was the first Christmas, when a new light of peace shone throughout the world and second chances began. Christ spreads joy during this seasons because families and friends gather together to celebrate one thing they have in common; their religion. Nothing else really seems to matter but the fact that they are all together.
During the holidays thousands of people put their loved ones before possessions and costly objects that no longer matter. This shows that we remember what Christmas is really all about; giving and being thankful for things we cannot buy in stores. Jesus proved to us that one person can make a large difference if they share peace and happiness with others and spread the good news.
