“Legally Blonde” beauty Reese Witherspoon is sure to turn heads at her top-drawer tribute.

Reese Witherspoon is gearing up for one “Wild” celebration.

She’ll be honored with this year’s American Cinematheque Award. The festivities take place on Oct. 30 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.

She joins an impressive roster of many other A-list actors, including locals Matthew McConaughey, Robert Downey Jr., Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Rob Reiner and Steven Spielberg, as well as Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Al Pacino. When addressing the honor, AC president Rick Nacita summed it up this way: “Reese Witherspoon’s career is a perfect example of an actress thriving in today’s world.”

She added to her credits with a best actress Oscar for her role in the Johnny Cash flick “Walk the Line,” as well as her nomination in last year’s down and dirty release, “Wild.” She achieved early commercial success with popular comedies like “Election” and “Legally Blonde,” as well as “Sweet Home Alabama.”

She has played a wide range of parts from comedies to drama but, as Rick says, “The most appropriate role for Reese Witherspoon today is role model.”

So expect a starry parade of co-stars and friends at the splashy bash where they’ll step up and give their tributes.

Rest assured that after the big event, she’ll be happy to take that impressive prize to head for her home sweet home!
