Malibu-based Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. has pledged a $150,000 matching gift challenge grant for the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation, the foundation announced last week. For every donation made to the foundation until Dec. 20, the Malibu company will match the contribution, up to $150,000.
The donation is part of a cash and in-kind investment from D&B Credibility. The funds will help a number of educational areas, including the development of a high school summer internship program in partnership with the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. Together with paid internships to students and compensation for D&B employees to assist interns, the total cash and in-kind investment for the company is $250,000 under the donation. The donations are part of the company’s EdAhead initiative, which focuses on a commitment to higher education and helping students achieve it.
“This is a remarkable demonstration by Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. of how corporations can support their local public schools, provide their employees a meaningful benefit and show genuine commitment to the community in which it operates,” Linda Greenberg Gross, executive director of the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation, said in a statement. “We are truly grateful to the company, its leadership and employees for their generosity.”
