Congressman Ted Lieu is holding a congressional art competition among high school students in California’s 33rd district.
The deadline to submit is Friday, April 6, at 5 p.m. to one of two addresses: 5055 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 310, Los Angeles, CA 90036 or 1600 Rosecrans Avenue, 4th floor, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
To enter, students’ artwork must follow these guidelines:
- Art must be two-dimensional.
- Art size must be no larger than 26 in. x 26 in. x 4 in.
- Art (including frame) must not weigh more than 15 pounds.
- Art must be original in concept, design and execution; it may not violate U.S. copyright laws
Frames are optional.
The first place winner will receive a scholarship prize and a trip to Washington, D.C. Second and third place winners will receive scholarship prizes. All participants will receive a participation prize.
The reception will be held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on April 28, from 1-3 p.m. RSVPs must be made to ca33artcompetition.eventbrite.com by 5 p.m. April 6.
