Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am and celebrity mom-to-be Kim Kardashian join local fashionistas for a look at the UK’s famed Topshop.

Local actress Jane Seymour is known for her keen fashion sense and is dressed by some of the world’s greatest designers, but across the pond, Sir Phillip Green’s Topshop is an economical favorite that draws everyone from Seymour to supermodels like Kate Moss and Academy Award nominees.

Seymour was on hand along with a host of other superstars, A-listers and VIPS for the opening of Topshop’s stateside flagship store at the Grove in LA.

Fashion forward guys and gals like Jennifer Lopez, Kate Bosworth, Will.i.am, Ryan Seacrest, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato, Russell Brand, Lionel Richie, Emma Roberts, Chris Brown, Julianne Hough and Kelly Osbourne were in the mix, along with Randy Jackson, Solange Knowles, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, Derek Hough, Rose McGowan and Nicole Scherzinger. Throw in Paris Hilton, Tommy Hilfiger, Kris Jenner, Michael Chow and Francesca Eastwood, and you’ve got a lively British bash.

“I fell in love with this store when I was in London. They’re casual, they’re chic and now they are here,” said a leather-clad Demi Lovato, who was decked out in Topshop from head to toe.

Sir Phillip did the ribbon-cutting honors against a backdrop of models decked out in trendy black and white block print dresses and platform booties.

The evening’s décor was oh-so-British with London cabbies and Union Jacks, along with loads of pub grub and music by the party’s DJ, Solange Knowles.

Topshop has become something of a phenomenon, with its highly sought out and low price point gear making its way into closets around the world.

In the words of TopShop top exec Gordon Richardson, “Now we can show everyone what we do and you can get great youthful British fashion that’s accessible to anyone.” Smashing!

Here’s Johnny…

Malibu’s late longtime resident Johnny Carson is gone but not forgotten. Turner Classic Movies is bringing some laughs back to its lineup. The cable network is prepping a series of Carson specials that will begin airing this summer. Carson fans will have a chance to see dozens of classic Carson interviews with some of Hollywood’s most famous faces, including Liz Taylor, Gregory Peck, Steve Martin, Jimmy Stewart and Drew Barrymore. It will be a trip down memory lane, since many of these clips haven’t aired since Carson signed off on NBC.

Eastward bound?

If you happen to be on your way to the Big Apple for business or pleasure, why not check out the city’s legendary Café Carlyle? You’ll be able to catch Malibu’s Herb Alpert in performance until March 16. The legendary Tijuana Brass star will be teaming up with Lani Hall for a classic cabaret served up with elegance and style.
