Pet of the Week: Kahlua

KAHLUA is an 8-year-old Chinese Sharpei mix who has been patiently waiting at the shelter and is more than ready to find her forever home.

This wonderful senior girl is calm, gentle, affectionate, and incredibly easy to be around. She walks beautifully on leash, is housebroken, is treat-motivated, and knows several commands, including giving a paw. She is non-reactive around other dogs and has a peaceful, steady presence.

She is full of joy and playfulness and is very content enjoying calm walks, affection, and plenty of cuddles.

KAHLUA loves affection and will happily lean her entire 51-pound body into you, as though she has known you forever. She would likely do best in a peaceful home with a person or family looking for a sweet, easygoing companion. She may also do well with calm, respectful dogs who match her more relaxed energy.

KAHLUA is ready for her next chapter. She is a very special best friend who simply needs someone to see what all the staff and volunteers at the Agoura Animal Care Center already see and love.
