Four permits have been issued allowing fireworks displays to be launched from barges off the Malibu coast on July 4 in celebration of Independence Day.
The fireworks shows will take place in the vicinity of: the 21500 block of Pacific Coast Highway; the 27900 block of PCH; Malibu Colony Road and the 22700 block of PCH. The shows will all begin around 9 p.m.
Fireworks are illegal within the city limits of Malibu, but the County of Los Angeles Fire Department allows fireworks shows as long as the fireworks are launched from barges off the coast.
