Every week issues related to escalating pollution, over-development and diminishing quality of life in Malibu appear in this paper and others. For the first time a TV program, airing on Charter Cable, will examine all of the various contributing factors that are degrading the quality of life in Malibu.
Beginning this Friday, “The Flipside of Malibu” will air on Charter Cable’s Community Access channel 15 (from 8 to 8:30 p.m. and repeated Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the next two weeks).
“The Flipside of Malibu,” based on the 2000 UCLA study about the lower Malibu Creek Watershed and other source material, illustrates all the pollution sources in this area. This educational docudrama for high schools was produced by the Malibu Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, and written by the Chapter’s Environmental Team Leader, Grant Neie. I hope all of your readers will take the opportunity to tune in.
