Malibu’s Top Ten Books

As the end of summer nears, Malibu readers are perusing the “Millennium” series by Stieg Larsson, along with the rest of this year’s greatest hits. New to the fiction list- the latest from clever and hilarious Carl Hiaasen: “Star Island.” In nonfiction, the newest celebrity bios and autobiographies have popped onto the list. “Furious Love,” about Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Molly Ringwald’s memoir, and Rosanne Cash’s engaging autobiography are all out and readers are snapping them up. The children’s list is still overwhelmed by series books with, most excitingly, the final volume in The Hunger Games trilogy, “Mockingjay,” just released and going out the door like proverbial hotcakes!
