A breezy, back-to-school weekend is expected with a high of 74 degrees in Malibu, according to the National Weather Service.
Light winds will keep the temperatures cool by the beach throughout the weekend, with a low of 62 degrees expected on Saturday night.
Sunday will see similar weather patterns with a high of 73 degrees.
Malibu United Methodist Church will host their furry-friendly event, “Dog Days of Summer,” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Malibleu Art Gallery will present “Wavelength,” a group exhibition featuring local artists at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16.
The school year begins on Tues. Aug. 19 for many Malibu students. Malibu High School, Malibu Middle School, Juan Cabrillo Elementary School, Point Dume Marine Science School and Webster Elementary School will begin classes on Tuesday.
