Malibu Pony Baseball alums Jackson Fine and Spencer Vogelbach helped the Oaks Christian Lions win the 2013 CIF Southern Section Baseball Championships (Division 4).
The Lions finished the season with a 29-3-1 record, leading the team to the championships, where they defeated El Rancho 4-0 in the final game before a crowd of more than 6,000 spectators at the University of California Riverside.
Fine and Vogelbach were all-star teammates on the Malibu Red Sox 2010 Pony American Championship Team headed by coaches Kenny Medlock and James Keach.
Fine was an all-star on the 2008 Malibu Red Sox Pony National Championship team, which had an undefeated streak of 29 consecutive games. He is also a Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mention Team Member and a nationally ranked outfielder.
Vogelbach is the Tri-Valley League Co-MVP and a 1st Team All-Ventura County Pitcher. He finished the season with an 11-1 record and an ERA of 1.25.
In addition to excelling on the field, both players are honor students.
