The city clerk’s office has opened the nomination filing period for the 2014 City Council election. Councilmembers Lou La Monte and Laura Rosenthal are up for reelection. As of Monday, both incumbents had pulled papers to run in the 2014 race, according to City Clerk Lisa Pope.
The deadline to file nomination papers at City Hall is Jan. 10, 2014. The filing period for write-in candidates runs from Feb. 10 through March 25.
The local election is on April 8, 2014.
