Malibu-based 4 Malibu Real Estate hosted a fundraising event on Sunday, Nov. 15 at Starfield Farms. Festivities for the evening included hor d’oeuvres and a screening of the film “Unbranded” — the story about a journey four men took with a string of BLM mustangs.
Proceeds from the event, which were about $4,000, will go toward two nonprofits that work with horses: Wild Horse Sanctuary and Big Heart Ranch & Farm. Wild Horse Sanctuary, based in Shingletown, California, rescues, shelters, trains and homes wild horses. Big Heart Ranch & Farm, which is based in Malibu, rescues horses and other animals to provide healing theraputic services for children, adults and veterans who are suffering from the effects of trauma.
The ranch where the event took place is available for sale by real estate broker Nona Green, who offered to have the event at the property because she says she is “an advocate for all homeless animals.”
