Malibu football player Logan Moore has been recognized with the Rock Award for his actions on and off the field.

Malibu Middle School student Logan Moore has been honored with the Rock Award from the Agoura/Oak Park Youth Football Chapter. The award, inspired by past AOYF president Mike LaRocque, is given to a player for demonstrating hard work, sacrifice, commitment, teamwork and perseverance. Moore has been playing tackle football with the football chapter for six years and plans to continue playing football at Malibu High.

Moore joined the league in 2007 and was known from the start for his dedication in every game. Moore excelled on both the offensive and defensive lines and rarely left the field during games. When he started playing he received the nickname “The Shogun,” and in his later years was known affectionately as “Lurch.” Coaches say Moore never has bad games and plays every game like it’s the most important one of the season.
