To celebrate Earth Day this weekend, local residents will have the opportunity to dispose of their old electronics at the Electronic Waste Round-Up this Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the front driveway of Malibu High School, 30215 Morning View Drive. The community-wide event is sponsored by the Environmental Club, The Tech Club and the PTSA at MHS in association with California Recycles, a state certified electronics collector.

Many items will be collected, including TVs, monitors, computers, cell phones, chargers, VCRs, CD players, fax machines, printers, stereos, power strips and old cables. Working computers will be salvaged for reuse by local charities after the hard drive is cleared. All others will be crushed and recycled. Here’s your chance to divert all those used electronics from contaminating our landfills, and do a little spring cleaning!

Help our planet and be part of the solution. Bring your old electronics to the E-Waste Round-Up this Saturday.
